Our ranger and maintenance crews have been working tirelessly and the following sections are open.
Mountainview: Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, 18, 20, 21, 22, 24, 25, 26, 51, 52, 54, 55, 56, 57, 59, 73, 74, 75, 78, 85, 86, 87, 89, 90, 91, 92 and 93 are open.
Ridgeview: Sections 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 20, 22, 21, 23, 25, 26, 27, 31, 33, 35, 37, 40, 41, 45, 47, 49, 55, 59, 65 and 501 are open.
Coal Canyon: Sections 3, 4, 6, 5, 7, 8, 10, 17, 18, 20, 21, 25, 27, 41, 49, 54, 55, 57, 65, 67 and 101 are open.
Coal Canyon Section Closure
Riders, please take note of a section closure on Coal Canyon due to construction at the athletic facilities for Buchanan County Schools.
Please reference the map(s) below and note:
Closed sections include the connect between 29 and the intersection of 40 and 44.
The red and black section on the map is the closed portion.
To bypass, travel on the ATV Approved section on the trail on Southern Gap Road and Sunset Hollow Road (solid red lines on the map).
Never ignore a Do Not Enter sign.
If you see construction or trail workers in the area, please slow for safe passage.
Jawbone: Sections 1 (both sides!), 2, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 27, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 43, 44, 70, 71, 73, 74, 76, 79, 80, 92 and 97 are open.
Pocahontas: Sections 5, 6, 12, 14, 15, 16, 18, 22, 25, 26, 28, 43, 49, 51, 53, 61, 86, 97, 100, 106, 126 and 128 are open.
🟢 Stone Mountain: Sections 1, 3, 11, 12, 14, 15, 20, 86 and 87 are open.
*Thunderstruck remains completely closed.
Please utilize caution while riding, follow all posted guidance and refer to your permit agreements. You may see rangers and maintenance on trail with saws. Please give them the space and courtesy to operate.
