Job Description
Southwest Regional Recreation Authority (SRRA) is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Executive Director. This is a senior level position that provides leadership and oversight for SRRA and reports to the SRRA Board of Directors.
Successful candidates will also possess comprehensive knowledge and experience with management of state budgeting to include budget development and oversight, state and federal grant management, human resources policies, employment laws, demonstrated ability to solve all common and unusual problems encountered during design, construction, and maintenance of a multi-use recreational trail system; thorough knowledge of all applicable Federal, State and local laws, codes and ordinances related to a public multi-use recreational trail system; experience with state and federal procurement laws, comprehensive knowledge of managing a multi-use archery and firearms range complex.
Candidates must also possess excellent communication skills both orally and written and the ability to develop strong working relationships with County staff, state agencies and regional partners.

Job Requirements:
Degree in Business, Public Administration or related field; ten (10) years of directly related, progressively responsible work experience including (5) years in a supervisory or senior management role preferably in a government setting; equivalent combination of education and work experience may substitute for degree requirement.
Salary: $75,000 per year/commensurate with experience.

Special Requirements:
The successful candidate must be available to support evening SRRA Board and Committee meetings, as well as conduct project-related public information meetings and public hearings. Candidates must hold a valid driver’s license.

The successful candidate will undergo an extensive background check which includes criminal, credit and DMV records check.
